Billed simply as “He’s Back” — August 19, 1995 marked Tyson’s return to professional boxing after a four-year absence — including three in prison.
Tyson dropped Peter McNeeley less than ten seconds into the first round. The fight ended 89 seconds in when McNeeley’s corner stepped into the ring to stop the savaging.
Tyson was indeed back: he KO’ed Buster Mathis Jr. in Rd 3 of his very next bout, just 4 months later.
